Different gemstones are traditionally given as anniversary stone gifts according to what anniversary it is. Here’s a list to help you figure them out. Keep in mind that there are both traditional and modern anniversary stones shown here. Thus, some will be stones for more than one anniversary year.

11th through 20th Anniversary Stones

  • 11th – Turquoise or Citrine
  • 12th – Jade or Opal
  • 13th – Citrine or Moonstone
  • 14th – Agate or Opal
  • 15th – Ruby or Rhodolite
  • 16th – Peridot or Red Spinel
  • 17th – Carnelian
  • 18th – Cat’s Eye Chrysoberyl
  • 19th – Aquamarine or Garnet
  • 20th – Emerald or Yellow Diamond

21st through 75th Anniversary Stones

  • 21st – Iolite
  • 22nd – Spinel (any color)
  • 23rd – Imperial Topaz
  • 24th – Tanzanite
  • 25th – Silver or Mother of Pearl or Tsavorite
  • 30th – Pearl (Cultured)
  • 35th – Emerald
  • 40th – Ruby
  • 45th – Cat’s Eye or Sapphire
  • 50th – Gold or Imperial Topaz
  • 55th – Alexandrite
  • 60th – Diamond or Star Ruby
  • 65th – Blue Spinel
  • 70th – Smoky Quartz
  • 75th – Diamond

It is acceptable when there is more than one choice for a particular anniversary to choose just one of the gemstones as a gift.
